Success is an option made available when the right formula is in place. In this 3-post series I will discuss 3 powers when understood separately and combined together they will simplify how to achieve success in any goal (but specifically in health). When used consistently, they will transform the way you approach your goals and massively increase your chances of achieving them. With every power discussed, I will give you a simple step to start putting it to use in your life.
Take a moment and recall a success you have had. Now estimate your level of commitment from 1 – 10. How high was it? Success comes in different magnitudes in all areas of life, but each and every one starts with a commitment. The higher the commitment, the higher your chances of success.
Commitment does not guarantee success, but it is required and can initiate the process that allows you to succeed. All successful people are committed, whether they are aware of their commitment levels or not.
Developing an awareness of your commitment levels towards your goals can help you increase it whenever you lose track of it. Wake up everyday and write down your main goals (keep it to 1-3 urgent ones), write down your commitment level (1-10) to it and verbally express to yourself how committed you are towards them. That is a start and a powerful habit to have when attempting to reach any goal in health, career, relationship or whatever personal goal you have.
To turn this into a habit, you need to do it for 21 days in a row. Set a reminder on your phone (do it now!!) to complete this step first thing in the morning. Keep a separate journal next to your bed to make this easy to complete.
This is a powerful technique we use with our clients that has massively changed their life and how they approach their goals. The power of commitment is essential for success, but it cannot guarantee success alone, which is why we need two more powers.
